Biography

Elizabeth M. Reeder is a shareholder and Chair of the firm’s Trust & Estate Planning department who advises privately held, multi-generational businesses and the families behind them, helping clients navigate the business and personal decisions that shape long-term success. She works with companies at every stage—from start-ups to established regional businesses—across industries including high-tech, real estate, healthcare, manufacturing, and automotive. She is also a member of the National Association of Dealer Counsel.

Liz’s practice sits at the intersection of corporate and estate planning, where business strategy and personal planning often overlap. She regularly counsels clients on business succession, guiding them through the legal, tax, and family considerations that come with transitioning ownership to the next generation or selling the business. Clients rely on her to bring a practical, coordinated approach to complex decisions—ensuring that plans made today support both the future of the business and the long-term goals of the family.

On the corporate side, Liz advises on key business matters including mergers and acquisitions, private equity and venture capital investments, investment structures and operating agreements, and taxation. She partners with business owners to navigate growth, investment, and transition with clarity and confidence.

In parallel, Liz helps individuals and families create estate plans that align with their broader financial and business goals. Her experience ranges from foundational planning—such as wills, powers of attorney, and living wills—to more sophisticated wealth transfers, tax planning, and charitable planning for high-net worth clients.  She also has significant experience in probate and estate administration in both Kentucky and Ohio.

Liz is a Business Law Fellow of the American Bar Association and was recognized by the Northern Kentucky Chamber as a Next Generation Leader in Legal Services. She is a frequent speaker on corporate, tax, and estate planning developments and serves as Co-Chair of the Estate Planning and Probate Section of the Northern Kentucky Bar Association.

A lifelong resident of Northern Kentucky, Liz is actively involved in the community. She serves on the Board of Directors for the Covington Business Council and its Foundation, the Northern Kentucky Bar Association, and the Northern Kentucky Bar Foundation. She is also a graduate of Leadership Northern Kentucky and a member of the Cincinnati Estate Planning Council.  She is also a member of the Board of Directors of the Turner Syndrome Society of United States, a national non-profit serving girls, women, and their families affected by Turner syndrome.
