
Alexa E. Wainscott
Biography
Alexa focuses her practice on business litigation and dispute resolution, including complex motion and appellate practice, arbitration and mediation, and situational guidance on a variety of commercial and real property-related issues. Alexa serves clients in matters ranging across real estate litigation, construction disputes and lawsuits, eminent domain and local government issues, and shareholder and commercial disputes instate and federal courts, as well as ADR and pre-suit forums. She approaches advocacy with a practical, efficient perspective grounded in deep understanding of the law and judicial mechanics.
Prior to joining Strauss Troy, Alexa clerked for four years for federal judges in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Kentucky at Lexington. Alexa graduated summa cum laude from NKU Chase College of Law, where she served as Articles Editor on the law review editorial board and interned at the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit. Alexa received her undergraduate degree from the University of Cincinnati in philosophy of law and ethics, with a minor in classics (Latin and Greek language and civilization). She is a Cincinnati native from Madeira, where she was high school valedictorian. Alexa currently lives in Northern Kentucky with her husband.
