Strauss Troy is pleased to welcome Kelly Grace Hickey as our newest legal assistant for the domestic relations/family law practice area. We are excited to have Kelly as part of the team, and asked her to share a little more about herself below.
Hometown:
I was born in Fremont, OH, but went high school here in Cincinnati at Purcell Marian.
Previous Professional Background:
Paralegal for 12 years, 8 years as a paralegal to Emmett J. “Jerry” Arnold, Esq. in McDonough, GA. I’ve also worked as a 911 dispatcher, in meetings and membership for non-profit associations, and for DARPA.
What have you found the most rewarding about working in the legal industry?
Knowing that clients feel “heard” when they come to our firm.
Favorite thing to do when you’re not working:
Photography – my dream job would be to be a national parks photographer (it’s a real job!)
Tell us a fun fact about you:
I am a Genetic Genealogist who helps people reconnect with their biological families by using their ancestry DNA results. I began doing this in 2018 when I found out (by taking an Ancestry DNA test) that the man who raised me was not my biological father.
