
Jeffrey A. Levine
Biography
Jeff Levine is a member of Strauss Troy’s Litigation and Corporate/Business practice groups. Jeff is admitted to practice law in Ohio, Kentucky and the U.S. District Courts for the Southern District of Ohio and Eastern District of Kentucky.
Professional Experience
Jeff’s litigation experience in state and federal courts includes the preparation of successful dispositive motions and appellate briefs, the delivery of oral arguments, and the management of negotiations in mediation and settlement conferences. He has served as counsel in complex commercial litigation matters, including class actions and disputes between the owners of closely-held corporations. In 2025, Jeff served as lead counsel for The Hyde Park Neighborhood Council in its highly-publicized opposition to a developer’s attempt to re-zone Hyde Park Square to allow for a $150 million development that was widely opposed by the community. Jeff presented arguments before City Council and coordinated a historic referendum campaign that brought the re-zoning legislation to the ballot, which culminated in the developer’s decision to withdraw the controversial project.
Jeff’s corporate and transactional practice includes the incorporation of new business entities, the preparation of corporate operating agreements, the negotiation and preparation of stock and asset purchase agreements for mergers and acquisitions. Jeff also has extensive experience negotiating physician employment agreements.
Jeff also has a niche practice for obtaining real estate valuation reductions for residential and commercial property owners. He has extensive experience before county boards of revision throughout Ohio, as well as the Ohio Board of Tax Appeals. Jeff is a frequent lecturer and publisher on that subject for the Cincinnati Bar Association and several real estate organizations. He has also appeared on local news networks to discuss the topic, including the longstanding “Don’t Waste Your Money” segment on WCPO Channel 9.
Local Impact
In 2025, Jeff was selected as an honoree of the Cincinnati Business Courier’s Forty Under 40 awards, which celebrate rising stars in Cincinnati’s business community who have distinguished themselves through significant achievements in both their careers and their civic engagements.
Jeff serves on the Board of Trustees of the Ault Park Advisory Council, a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization dedicated to the preservation and enhancement of Ault Park. Jeff has served on that Board since 2017, including a 2-year term as the Board’s President from2022-2024. Jeff’s leadership at Ault Park has been profiled in Movers & Makers Magazine.
Jeff also volunteers as a lecturer on entrepreneurship and financial literacy for the Junior Achievement program at Walnut Hills High School, his alma mater. In 2022, Jeff was selected as a member of the Cincinnati USA Regional Chamber’s “Cincy LEAD” Class 1, the Chamber’s premier leadership program for rapidly-advancing leaders in the irrespective organizations. In 2019, he was selected as a member of the Cincinnati USA Regional Chamber’s “Cincy Next” Class 6, the Chamber’s premier leadership program which focuses on connecting and developing the region’s most talented future leaders.
Education and Personal
Jeff is a Cincinnati native and a graduate of the University of Cincinnati College of Law, where he earned Dean’s List honors and served on Moot Court. Prior to law school, he earned a degree in Finance from Indiana University’s Kelley School of Business. Jeff resides in Hyde Park and enjoys supporting Cincinnati’s restaurant scene and playing tennis at the Cincinnati Tennis Club.
