Strauss Troy, one of Greater Cincinnati and Northern Kentucky’s leading law firms, announced that Jan Houston and Kenneth Kinder II have joined the firm. “We continue to add new talent and expertise in key areas,” said Strauss Troy President Marshall Dosker. “The experience that Jan and Ken bring to the firm will further strengthen our ability to address all of our client’s legal needs in the areas of tax planning, compliance, probate and estate planning. We’re pleased to welcome them to Strauss Troy.”
Jan Houston has extensive experience in representing high-net-worth clients in the areas of taxation, estate planning and business planning. Her practice focuses primarily on tax and estate planning including multi-generational planning and incorporating charitable giving into estate plans. She also handles income tax and estate tax audits for her clients. She finds creative solutions for her high-net-worth clients by listening carefully and outlining a path to make their wishes a reality. This could include taking care of a special needs child, caring for a family, friend or employee, or providing funds to a charity.
Attorney Ken Kinder focuses his practice in the areas of estate planning, from basic wills and trusts to more complicated planning alternatives (including generation skipping transfer tax planning, charitable planning, GRATS, family limited liability companies), trust and estate administration, tax law and business transactions. Kinder, also a Certified Public Accountant (CPA), also works with clients on individual, business, fiduciary income and estate tax matters.
