Strauss Troy welcomes four new attorneys

Margaret Cunningham, Eric Francis, Michael Iannitti, and Alex Rodger bring a wealth of experience to Strauss Troy’s Real Estate, Corporate, and Litigation groups.

Strauss Troy welcomes four new attorneys to the firm.

Margaret E. Cunningham’s practice is focused in real estate and related areas with representation of buyers, sellers and lenders, curative title matters, and other business and litigation matters. She is also a title agent with experience in TRID regulatory compliance.

Before joining Strauss Troy, Margaret owned and operated a residential title company through her family-owned law firm. She performed title exams, real estate closings, handled title curative actions, as well as handled post-default representation for major lending institutions, business entities and individuals. Margaret is licensed to practice law in Ohio, Kentucky and Indiana, in federal and state court.

Eric Francis joins Strauss Troy’s real estate group. He serves his clients in the areas of real estate, lending, and commercial transactions for individuals, small businesses, financial institutions, and international corporations. An Ohio native, Eric understands the dynamics and demands of local businesses and the role they play in national and global markets.

Eric’s real estate practice focuses on the drafting and negotiation of real estate purchase transactions involving commercial and residential real property. He helps developers, investors, and corporations understand the necessity of due diligence, the contractual points of contention, and the issues involved with construction and leasing. Eric assists banks and borrowers in Ohio, Florida, and across the country, with various types of lending transactions involving diverse collateral.

Michael L. Iannitti’s primary practice areas include commercial transactions, business planning, and corporate governance. He has represented clients in all stages of business development, from selection and formation of new business entities, to the purchase and sale of local businesses, to succession planning.

Michael has diligently advised and advocated for a variety of clients, including established family businesses, national corporations, non-profit organizations, and rising entrepreneurs. He works closely with his clients to ensure each transaction is tailored to best accomplish their goals. His accounting background imparted a unique understanding of his clients’ business objectives and financial considerations. Michael also provides guidance on tax planning and compliance for individuals, trusts, and businesses and has evaluated the tax implications of various business transactions and asset protection strategies.

Alex Rodger joins Strauss Troy’s litigation group and his diverse practice focuses on a wide range of commercial and business litigation. He has extensive trial experience, having tried jury and bench trials involving a variety of legal issues.

Alex has been recognized for his advocacy by Super Lawyers and the Ohio State Bar Association. In 2015, Alex was one of two lawyers in the state of Ohio to receive the prestigious Rising Litigator Award presented by the members of the litigation section of the Ohio State Bar Association. Alex has been recognized as a 2019 Rising Star in Business Litigation by Super Lawyers.
