Mr. Melville concentrates his practice in intellectual
property, contracts, restrictive covenants, and business torts including
manufacturer's representative and distributor matters, and litigation.
He was admitted to practice in 1962 and is an Adjunct Professor
at Northern Kentucky University. Mr. Melville is a member of the
Cincinnati and American Bar Associations and the Cincinnati Intellectual
Property Law Association. He graduated from Princeton University
(A.B. with honors, 1959) and the University of Cincinnati College
of Law (J.D., 1962), where he was Editor-in-Chief of the University
of Cincinnati Law Review and a member of the Order of the Coif.
He is admitted to conduct cases in the following courts: Supreme
Court of the United States; Supreme Court of Ohio; United States
District Court, Southern District of Ohio; United States District
Court, Eastern District of Kentucky; United States Court of Appeals,
First Circuit; United States Court of Appeals, Sixth Circuit; and
United States District Court, District of Maryland. Mr. Melville
is a frequent lecturer for the Northern Kentucky University's Small
Business Development Center seminars on intellectual property matters
and has written numerous articles on legal issues between representatives
and principals.
