Strauss Troy announces that two high-profile litigators, Ron Parry and Robert Sparks, have joined the firm’s Litigation Practice Group. The team’s paralegal Patty Dold is also on board.

“Ron and Rob are well-respected in the legal community, and they add horsepower to our already strong litigation practice group,” said Jim Heldman, president of Strauss Troy. “Due to their nationally-recognized work, they will add immediate value in the areas of financial service and insurance-related consumer class-action lawsuits, ERISA issues and consumer law.”

Litigation Attorney Ron Parry has tried, to conclusion, more than 50 civil and criminal jury trials, including several jury trials involving class actions. He served as lead counsel or co-lead counsel in numerous insurance and consumer class actions, including cases filed against life insurance companies relating to deceptive sales practices, interest crediting practices, cases filed against property and casualty insurers relating to improper claims-handling practices, and cases brought by state employees relating to inadequate distribution of retirement assets. Parry is licensed to practice law in both Ohio and Kentucky.

He has served in a number of professional positions including: Former President of the Kentucky Chapter of the American Board of Trial Advocates (ABOTA); Former Treasurer of the Kentucky Chapter of ABOTA; Former Member of the Board of Directors of the Kentucky Justice Association; Master of the Bench in the Potter Stewart Inn of Court in the Southern District of Ohio; Member of the Mass Tort and Class Action Litigation Committee appointed by the Kentucky Supreme Court; and as an Adjunct Professor of Law, Trial Practice, at Salmon P. Chase Law School, Northern Kentucky University.

Litigation Attorney Rob Sparks concentrates his practice in civil trial and appellate practice in the areas of consumer class actions, consumer fraud, investment fraud, insurance litigation, and insurance and brokerage matters. Rob has represented people and businesses harmed by fraud and unscrupulous business practices in state and federal courts throughout the United States. He has served as court-appointed lead class counsel in several certified nationwide ERISA and insurance litigation class actions.
