Our domestic relations team has extensive experience with complex divorce litigation, including issues involving corporate structure and finance, business valuation, dividing intricate financial estates, spousal support with income from multiple, complex sources; stock allocation and division and privacy and protective orders.
When you meet with one of our Domestic Relations attorneys, they will discuss the various processes and choices that are available to terminate your marriage. The State of Ohio offers the options of divorce or dissolution, while the Commonwealth of Kentucky only offers dissolution.
Tim Theissen maintains a general practice, and primarily handles divorces, zoning matters, real estate transactions and estate planning/probate. He also represents several small businesses and does some other civil litigation. His largest practice area is Family Law, and he is a member of the American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers (See www.AAML.org). He is collaboratively trained and is an advocate of the collaborative process (See www.nkydivorce.com).
Matt Worth serves his clients in the areas of Family Law and Estate Planning. Matt cares deeply about families, and his friendly, relatable style helps find the best solutions to each family’s individual situation. He is able to help clients with complex, contentious custody cases such as interstate and international jurisdictional disputes, move-away cases and custody cases implicating constitutional rights. He also guides his clients in matters of dividing intricate financial estates, spousal support with income from multiple, complex sources; stock allocation and division and privacy and protective orders.
He also helps clients plan for the future, assisting with family trust protection, business valuation and other trust and estate planning matters. Matt has experience in numerous aspects of litigation, including discovery, law and motion practice, client counseling, case strategy, and trial preparation.
Carrie Waide practices primarily in the area of family law and enjoys assisting clients during difficult periods of family transition. Carrie is experienced in negotiation, mediation, collaborative law, and trial practice, and is able to assess the needs of each individual client to determine the best course of action toreach the best possible outcome for the client and their family.
Carrie received her Bachelor of Arts Degree in Women’s Studies from Kansas State University in 2010 where she graduated magna cum laude. She earned her J.D. in 2013 from the University of Cincinnati College of Law. While in law school, she was a member of the Moot Court Honor Board and served as the Intramural Competition Director, as well as volunteering with ProKids as a Court Appointed Special Advocate (CASA).
Jessica L. Beauchamp focuses her practice on all family law, divorce, and child custody issues. She is admitted to practice law in the State of Ohio and the Commonwealth of Kentucky. She is passionate about family law because it gives her the opportunity to work directly with clients and to help them through difficult times. She enjoys using alternative dispute resolution methods and complex problem solving to develop creative solutions to meet her clients’ goals. Jessi has seen success advocating for her clients both inside and outside of the courtroom. She has been selected to the Super Lawyers’ Rising Stars list and has been named a Top 40 Under 40 by the American Trial Lawyers Association.
Jessi earned her Bachelor of Arts Degree in Political Science from Transylvania University and her J.D. from Salmon P. Chase College of Law.
Elizabeth Mason-Hill is the legal assistant/paralegal to our attorneys who concentrate in the Domestic Relations/Family Law area, and also has experience in probate, estate planning and business law. With 34+ years of experience, her objective is to enhance current practices by providing superior business, administrative support, management and assistance. Duties include being responsible for organizing all client correspondence, pleadings, discovery, email folders, mailings, and handling high call volume. She also manages trial calendars and prepares case exhibits and evidence in advance of trials. She conducts all legal business professionally and confidentially and is adept at handling a diverse range of legal personnel including associates, partners and other staff. Elizabeth is also responsible for keeping attorneys up-to-date on all local-specific requirements for domestic relations filings. She earned a Secretarial Science Degree from Northern Kentucky Vocational-Technical School and was also a business major at Northern Kentucky University. She was named Team Player of The Year by the Cincinnati Bar Association Legal Secretaries Section. She was a presenter at a seminar for the Institute of Paralegal Education entitled “A Paralegal’s Guide for Divorce Cases From Start to Finish;” her topic was “Keys to Managing Financial Information.”
