Strauss Troy’s Mark Berliant Receives Cincinnati Bar’s Muething Lifetime Achievement Award

Congratulations to Mark H. Berliant, who is one of this year’s recipients of the John L. Muething Lifetime Achievement Award in Law. The award is presented by the Cincinnati Bar Foundation for 50 years of exemplary service as a lawyer. Through his or her distinguished career, the honoree reflects the highest principles and traditions of the legal profession.

A graduate of University of Virginia College of Law, Mr. Berliant has been with Strauss Troy for 56 years.  He has served as President, Tax Department Chairman and Board Chairman of the firm. He also served as former National Chairman on Real Estate Tax Problems for the American Bar Association and on the Hamilton County Board of Commissioners as a past member of Tax Levy Review Committee, Family Services & Treatment Subcommittee and Indigent Care Subcommittee.

Mr. Berliant served on the Board of Cincinnati Overseers Hebrew Union College, the American Jewish Committee, the Jewish Vocational Service, Rockdale Temple, the Greater Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky Film Commission and on the Board of Trustees of the City of Cincinnati Retirement System. He also served as a Commissioner for Cincinnati Tall Stacks Bicentennial and is former President and Board Chairman for the FreeStore Foodbank.

Mr. Berliant was honored at the Cincinnati Bar Association’s Senior Counselors’ Luncheon on October 31.
