Elizabeth M. ReederOf Counsel
Elizabeth M. Reeder focuses her practice on representing the business sector, counseling individuals and businesses from start-ups to established, regional companies. Her diverse client base includes entrepreneurs in the high-tech, real estate, healthcare, manufacturing, and automotive industries, among others. Elizabeth assists her clients with contracts, mergers and acquisitions, employment issues, corporate governance, regulatory compliance, and intellectual property protection.
Elizabeth also counsels clients on a wide range of technology and intellectual property issues, including trademark and copyright registration, licensing agreements, website terms of service and startup services for technology companies. She advises small businesses on tax credits, appropriate entity taxation elections, and sales and use tax issues and counsels non-profit corporations and tax-exempt entities on governance, charitable giving issues, and applicable tax exemptions. Elizabeth also works with small business owners to explore the benefits of captive, self-insurance to address their risk management needs.
In addition to her corporate practice, she assists clients with crafting their estate plans, including drafting wills, powers of attorney, living wills, family and charitable trusts, and business succession planning. She is experienced in probate estate administration in Kentucky and Ohio, settling and administering estates, ancillary administrations, and guardianships and conservatorships.
A lifelong resident of Northern Kentucky, Elizabeth Reeder is committed to serving her community. She volunteers with the St. Elizabeth Foundation Young Patrons Guild, Charities Guild of Northern Kentucky, and as a Trustee of the Northern Kentucky Bar Foundation. She is Immediate Past Chair of the Young Lawyers Section of the Northern Kentucky Bar Association and At Large Representative of the Young Lawyers Division of the Kentucky Bar Association. She is a graduate of the 2016 Class of Leadership Northern Kentucky.
